Welcome to SAU Honors College
2023-08-23 (5:54 PM CDST)
I'd like to go over a few rules, do's, do not's, and general information about the Honors College. This page is just the first stage in your matriculation in the Honors College. By the end of the semester, you should be fully prepared for the rest of your honors career here AND ready to take the next steps, be they graduate school, professional school, or a career.
- Be Proud!
- Admission to the Honors College is not routine. You earned admission based on you academic success in high school and because of the ACT or SAT
- So, whenever you get the change please tell others that you are a member of the Honors College
- Attend a scholarly meeting? Win an award? Present a poster? Publish an article? Then tell all you are a member of the Honors College
- Communicate!
- Read your SAU email several times daily.
- The Honors College will send out mass mailings to all honors students or individual ones to selected students
- Don't miss out on a trip or a meeting because you did not read an email
- Come to Class!
- Go to all of your classes, including this one.
- Study
- I'll show you soon that many of you do not have good study skills. Honors students as a group need to learn how to study. We will cover that topic soon.
- Be Healthy!
- Eat well. Sleep long enough. Avoid illicit drugs. Protect yourself from harm. This will be the first topic we'll cover in this class.
- Go to the 2023 Entering Class Page
