HC 1013. Honors Seminar. Prerequisite: Admission to the Honors College. Required of all students entering the Honors College within the first two semesters of enrollment. The Honors Seminar is an introduction to the academic experience, the Honors College, critical thinking, diversity issues, and other aspects of the academic life and the academic community. Fall semester.
Your mentors are: Jared Lancaster, Julianna Williams, Makenna Thomas
Often, we will have faculty and administrators visit the class and make presentations. See HERE for examples of past visits.
OUR BLOG
You will be responsible for researching and presenting information on the topics marked with an asterisk (*). I will cover the other topics. You will do so in groups. You may select your own topic by e-mailing me at: epkardas@saumag.edu starting at 7:11 pm on Monday 28 August. Please provide your first, second, and third choices. Assignment will be first come, first serve. EARLY E-MAILS WILL END UP GOING LAST! Be creative in how you present the topics. You may use PowerPoint, Prezi, Word, html, or other media (e.g., YouTube, Facebook, etc.). You must consult with me prior to making your presentation. We will present topics in the order shown below. I especially would like to see you make movies.
