Much has been accomplished at the Honors College and much remains to be done!
Accomplishments
- Secured offices and Student Lounge in central campus location (Nelson 200)
- Larger stipends
- Stipends increased from $250 to $600 per year in 2010. We hope to increase to $1000 per year soon.
- More individual and group travel opportunities

Long Term Priorities
- Populate Honors North and allow students to live in any residence hall of their choice (done)
- Study Abroad/Away (basically, any off campus program overseas or in USA)
- At first, these will be in summer and in intersessions
- Later, we will attempt to develop full semesters away
- Continue to add honors programs in nearby two-year schools
- Naming the SAU Honors College
- A major goal for development
- Will require six figure gift
